A Musical Journey
In the late 70’s and early 80’s, two young Southern California boys had their parents deeply concerned… “Mom, Dad, I’m going to be a Rock Star”! Mike Morris and Jon Wilson, both Peter Pan type dreamers, wanted a taste of “The Good Life.” After years of playing Rock & Roll music in their teens and early twenties, without obtaining a mega million dollar record deal, these two dedicated rockers decided to get “Back On Track“ and consider additional career opportunities. A couple of successful roofing guys was the result as Mike and Jon grew up, raised families, and became responsible!!! Mom and Dad were relieved; every day was a “Wonderful Day.”
Mike and Jon didn’t actually meet until their roofing careers crossed paths in 1989. A tremendous friendship was born and continued to grow. Here were two happy family-oriented businessmen who had something magical in common and yet it was missing from their lives… a love for playing music. That’s when Mike realized he needed to bust a “Move“, time for a new Marshall amp and Gibson Les Paul. Then he really decided to “Push It To The Limit“ and built a rehearsal studio in his garage. In 1994 the journey began to “Keeping The Dream Alive“ as Mike and Jon dedicated time and energy toward the creation of their original music.
Presently, after 8 years of commitment, lots of gigs, and several recordings, the die hard rockers rehearse and do live performances at their personal showcase theater located in Glendora California. They have come to realize that success is a journey, not a destination. This CD, “Keeping The Dream Alive“, is a time stamp of their life long journey. Mike and Jon continue to search for like-minded, dedicated individuals to add to the mix, bringing their music to the global acceptance it truly deserves.
So “Come In For A While“, share in their love and passion for life. Do you “Believe In Angels“, a “Man In The Clouds“ maybe? If you don’t know “What To Say“, figure it out and say it! If you don’t know what you want, find out and get it! It’s okay if we never arrive somewhere, so long as our last day in this life, we were “On Our Way“ to getting there.
