Mirror Image Studios
October 2007 was the grand opening of Orange County’s newest and finest recording showcase venue ever. “Built by musicians for musicians.” Mirror Image Studios was designed to afford a Rock Star sensation to anyone, regardless of their budget or lack of it. The showcase theater had a solid sound-controlled environment and the high dollar equipment to deliver. Players from every level stated over and over that “we have never sounded this good live anywhere.” The digital recording equipment was compatible from the live showcase theater to a high-level professional studio tracking room.
Mike and Jon put everything they had, and some of what they didn’t have, to get this studio up and running and it instantly seemed to catch fire. Bands could invest as little as $500 to play a show, get a live CD and DVD recording of their performance, and have a top quality live mix. Fans and players stated that “we sounded better at Mirror Image than we did at The House of Blues.” Ron Sachs is a master sound engineer, whether live mix or studio recording.
The sound quality at Mirror Image Studios made it difficult for Mike and Jon to play elsewhere. They could rehearse, record and play live on a pro sound stage without leaving home. Their journey continued to get better with the passing of every year!
