Outside the Box
“Glendora’s Box,” the room, was a 10-year part of this wonderful journey. When approached by Ron Sachs to consider turning the box into a recording studio and actually making money while writing, playing and recording their original music, Mike and Jon thought it sounded like a great idea. “Glendora’s Box”, the band, had some fantastic new tunes and, although thrilled with the live recording recently completed, really wanted to make a high-level, heavily produced new record.
In developing the business plan, Mike and Jon decided that it would be more successful setting up a new location in Orange County. This was a difficult decision to close the door on a chapter of their lives that had brought so much joy, but Mike and Jon are dreamers, risk takers, entrepreneurs; with every closed door, a new one opens. It was time to think “Outside the Box.” A budget of $30,000.00 was the forecast. Slightly over budget — in excess of $200,000.00 later — Mirror Image Studios was born.
